The musical evening in Mawmluh was very special and felt local and genuine, with a small group of musicians from Sohra playing Khasi songs and some modern tunes in a simple, relaxed setup after sunset. The cool weather and quiet atmosphere made the music feel close to heart, and even if you don’t understand every word, the melody and feeling are easy to enjoy. For this price it is good value after a day of sightseeing, and it is best to go with a small group and maybe talk with the artists after, as they are friendly and proud to share about their music and culture.
